Fresh and Free

I could never stay long enough on the shore,
the tang of the untainted, fresh and free sea air
was like a cool, quieting thought.

~ Helen Keller

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Salem, Massachusetts, where we visited his father and other family members.  It was my first time to see this part of New England (I've only visited New Hampshire a few times, and never for more than a quick weekend trip when Scott and I were long-distance dating).

Needless to say, I was mesmerized by the beauty of Salem and all it offered.

This photo was taken at
The Willows - a pretty little park where we enjoyed a delicious lunch from Cappy's Seafood (the fried scallops and clams were to die for!) at a picnic table overlooking this fantastic seaside view :=)
