Snow Day

When I no longer thrill to the first snow of the season,
I'll know I'm growing old.

~ Claudia "Lady Bird" Johnson

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We saw our first substantial snowfall yesterday morning, and when I say "substantial"  I mean that we got, roughly,  1-1/2" of accumulation.  Now that may not seem like much to you, but to our two little granddaughters who have only seen a "dusting" once or twice, THIS snowfall was HUGE!
It really was pretty while it lasted - which wasn't long ;~)
The sun came out early and melted the snow very quickly.  All that's left today are pockets of white tucked away in shaded corners of the yard where even the grass doesn't dare grow.
Middle Tennessee doesn't see much snow.  Schools around here shut down when the first flake falls.  Me?  I LOVE it!  I'd give anything to see a really big snow here.  Well, BIG as in, like, 6-8" lol!
